Learn about the history and past functions of incense, along with the tools utilized, and incense ceremonies. The functions of incense were truly limitless, it was first used to mask the scent of cremating bodies, attaching a sacred and ceremonial context to it. It was also used as a perfume, medicine, to repel insects, for religious purposes, and as a measurement of time- similar to a clock. Presentation and incense-making demo. Hosted by KAAC at Maum General Store and online via Zoom.
